With its focus on supporting democratic action, the VA Solidarity Economy hosted a Learn-in on May 15th to talk about how Virginia based groups are taking vital steps to not only value but practice democracy in their daily work. This not just about holding some abstract belief in democracy, but doing the everyday work that seeks to move away from systems of hierarchy and domination.
Learn-ins seek to magnify the important work that is taking place across Virginia to build a more resilient and equitable economies. For this session, organizers with VAProgressives, Little Blue Stem, and VA Solidarity Economy Network came together to share how they practice democracy in their work.
