We were excited to be part of the US Solidarity Economy Network’s Resist & Build Convening in Richmond October 20-22nd. On November 2nd, we came back to follow up on all that took place at Resist and Build.

VASEN was seeded in the time of a global pandemic, so nearly all of this time together has been in virtual meetings, collaborating to learn about the principles of the solidarity economy and how neighbors and organizations across the state are putting these principles into practice.
Over the last couple years we’ve hosted a speaker series and invited folks to add their groups to a map of SE in Virginia. We’ve convened a series of Learn-ins and hosted a book club.
Resist & Build gave us the opportunity to come together in real life, to break bread and build relationships. Let’s keep it going.
